JCDecaux partnered with Ocean Advertising to celebrate their 5th birthday in a unique and charitable way recently. Instead of throwing a big party, Ocean Advertising designed unique campaigns for 5 charities that were displayed free of charge on prime JCDecaux billboards across Dublin. The lucky charities were Age Action Ireland, Temple Street Children's Hospital, The Irish Heart Foundation, Aware and Dual Diagnosis Ireland. The creative campaign and advertising space represented a saving of approximately €10,000 to each charity, and represented a rare opportunity to communicate their message in this outdoor format.
JCDecaux teamed up with international development agency Concern Worldwide to promote the charity’s message. As part of an ongoing partnership, 160 posters will be displayed in Northern Ireland over the next year raising awareness of Concern’s long term development work.
“Concern is very grateful to JCDecaux for supporting our work by helping to promote our message. It allows us to ensure that the money generously donated by local people goes right where it is needed” said Deirdre Murphy, Executive Fundraiser for Concern Worldwide.
2008 marked Concern’s 40th Anniversary. The humanitarian agency works with the poorest people in 28 of the world’s underpriviliged countries – delivering emergency relief and carrying out long term development projects.

JCDecaux was delighted to support the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland's Cystic Fibrosis awareness campaign by donating media space on key billboard locations throughout the country.
"The Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland is very grateful for the support from JCDecaux as we raise awareness of Ireland's most common genetically inherited incurable disease. Outdoor Advertising is a powerful way for us to connect with a large audience, creating great impact and awareness for our campaign across the country".
