JCDecaux Transit

Luas, Dublin’s light rail network, has been winding its way through the streets of Dublin, carrying commuters in and out of work, college, and Dublin’s main shopping and entertainment districts since 2004. Luas is one of Dublin’s best loved forms of transport, and JCDecaux Ireland has the exclusive contract to manage all advertising opportunities across the network. From innovative exterior tram wrap advertising customized to each campaign, to 10ft stand-alone columns on the platforms, to eye-catching straplines and interior tram dominations, Luas is a multi-format media opportunity with year-on-year increasing passenger numbers.

As part of our contract with Dublin City to provide public amenities funded through advertising, JCDecaux launched dublinbikes in September 2009 from the offices of Dublin City Council. Since then dublinbikes has gone on to become one of the most successful public bike share rental schemes in the world, with each dublinbike making on average 9 journeys per day.
