» Dublin Living Awards -October 2011

dublinbikes was awarded the Best Green Contribution to Dublin Life at the Dublin Living Awards Gala evening at the Mansion House on October 27th. The Dublin Living Awards recognise and celebrate Dublin’s best businesses, places and people. This award is very special to JCDecaux as it was voted for by members of the public, and supports a recent Dublin City Council’s Your Dublin Your Voice survey, in which 95% of respondents felt that dublinbikes has had a positive impact on the city.

» Green Awards – April 2011

dublinbikes was awarded the top prize in the Green Communications category. The award recognises the communication plan for the pre launch of dublinbikes, on-going information and communications, regular updates and information on journeys and the one millionth journey and competition which took place within 11 months of the launch.

» The Media Awards – March 2011

JCDecaux Ireland was shortlisted for Media Brand of the Year at the inaugural Media Awards in March 2011, facing stiff competition from companies such as Today FM, An Post and TV3. Full details on the awards and all winners can be found here.

» Marketer of the Year 2010 – November 2010

Pat Mannion, Commercial Director of JCDecaux Ireland, was runner up for the prestigious title of ‘Marketer of the Year 2010’ for the successful launch of Metro Formats and dublinbikes. Pat was pipped at the post by John Concannon, Director of Market Development at Fáilte Ireland.

» dublinbikes ‘Hero in Hiding award’ – November 2010

dublinbikes was recognised as one of the “Heroes in Hiding” of Dublin City, as part of the Globe Forum 2010 which is a keynote event in the Innovation Dublin festival. The Globe Forum, and the Heroes in Hiding event, is a celebration and recognition in Dublin of Innovators and their spirit of creativity. dublinbikes was recognised at the event as a developing initiative that addresses environment, mobility and quality of life in Dublin City.

» Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government – October 2010

dublinbikes was announced winner in the ‘Sustainable Development’ category. This award recognizes the valuable role that dublinbikes plays in city life and the contribution the scheme has made towards the sustainable development of Dublin City.
