Corporate Responsibility
Corporate Responsibility is important to JCDecaux Ireland. We put this responsibility into effect through:
- support of nominated charities
- implementation of environmental initiatives
Support of Nominated Charities
In 2011, JCDecaux supported a number of charities including Barnardos, Oxfam, Focus Ireland, Irish Cancer Society, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, Concern, Alone, The Marie Keating Foundation, Anam Cara and The Rape Crisis Network Ireland.

JCDecaux also proudly supported Ireland’s biggest architecture festival ‘Open House Dublin’ organised in October 2011 by the Irish Architechture Foundation.
“The success and popularity of this year’s Irish Architecture Foundation Open House Dublin would not have been possible without the generous support of JCDecaux.” Nathalie Waedick, Director, Irish Architecture Foundation
JCDecaux also supported the Barnardos ‘Follow Your Dream Award’, in honour of Niamh Cleary. Niamh was the Managing Director of JCDecaux Ireland and Vice-Chair of Barnardos until her untimely death in July 2010. In her honour, JCDecaux and The One Foundation have established a fund for Barnardos to enable a number of children each year to follow a dream. It might be music, football, education, or anything else that wouldn’t be possible otherwise – as long as there is a dream involved.
Environmental Protection
JCDecaux Ireland is committed to being a truly sustainable business, to acting ethically and responsibly, protecting the environment and the health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors and others affected by our operations.
We are very aware of the impact all businesses have on the environment and wherever and whenever possible we are committed to minimising any potentially harmful effects which may occur during the running of our day-to-day business.
In order to reduce our overall impact, and maximise our contribution to sustainable development, JCDecaux Ireland developed an environmental management system to the international environmental standard ISO: 14001, and has been accredited after a series of certification audits.
On a daily basis the three main areas which we look at to help minimise our environmental footprint are to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This is a principle which is followed through all aspects of our business.
